Salvation is Separation by Deon Crafford

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

The blood of Jesus Christ is the sword that separated us from the wages of sin, into which we were born captive. I doubt any believer will debate this statement. We live because of separation – Holy separation if you wish. But we have this lingering weakness that causes us to bridge this separation due to the lures of the worldly ways. Before we know it we again get ourselves entangled in the sinful ways of the world – falling for greed, pride, lust and an array of other quite acceptable worldly practices. And when we get really deceptive is when we allow these to dominate us, even in the “practiced” presence of God. But we know too that the Holy Spirit will not dwell side by side with the wages of unrighteousness. God separates us from sin, but if we consciously avail ourselves again to the tentacles of the world, we separate from God. Why would I do that?

Love to all
