The best is yet to come by Deon Crafford

Jer 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

2 Cor 3:17-18 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Earlier today I watched a short clip on Mars and Earth. It asked the question why we’re so obsessed about going to Mars – a profoundly desolate planet, while we take scant care of this planet we’re on, where life and beauty is in abundance. What struck me then is how different our planet is to all known others in the solar system, and then that it (and us) could not just have come about by sheer luck or chance molecular behaviour. I will send the link to the clip to you. Maybe you will draw similar conclusions. But the point is this – He whose hand fashioned this beautiful planet, is also the One in whom is my hope. Hope that is not possibility, but a certainty. God is to bring a new heaven and a new earth to us all. If I thought this earth was phenomenal and astounding in its design and complexity, I am to be blown away by what God is inviting me into. If now I am troubled and afflicted, may it be that I am able to see beyond the now into the glory that is to come, and wherein which my place has been secured by Christ. May I pray for relief, provision, comfort, light in the darkness? Absolutely, because the God of creation’s hand holds too your heart.

Love to all
